Love letters from past me
Hey thanks, past me.
Quarantine and craters
The pandemic of a century
My latest comic is all about what we can learn from the 1918 Flu pandemic, aka the “Spanish Flu.” Written by Sarah Mirk and Eleri Harris, it goes through the challenges presented by the last once-in-a-lifetime pandemic and how we emerged on the other side. Read the whole thing here on the Nib!
SIDEPLANK
I did SIDEPLANK this week, SIDEPLANKERS I am ONE OF YOU NOW, grabby-leg sideplankers I can’t wait to MEET YOU
Florida winter
Florida winter is just Michigan summer.
Hot Yoga 2
I really wasn’t expecting to become a hot yoga convert this month, but I went to cold yoga last week and was low-key resentful about it, so I maybe I am?? But I also did hot yoga yesterday and lied on the floor for half of it so I guess it’s still complicated.
Abolish medical debt
Medical bills are the number one cause of bankruptcy in the US, even as many debtors report having health insurance at the time of their illness. If you’re in debt, you’re not alone! Our financial system is designed to keep us down.
I spent most of college drowning in medical debt, despite having had health insurance at the time of my injury. I was cut without warning from my insurance six months later, and unable to get any injury care for years afterward. What a waste!
